Zo's King Pin Classic: Celebrities, the latest fashions and…bowling? The combination might have seemed odd four years ago, but now Alonzo Mourning's Fourth Annual King Pin Classic has become one of the hottest events of the year in South Florida. And, as usual, Zo is partying with a purpose, as all proceeds benefit the Honey Shine Mentoring Program, which is designed to empower young girls. Mary McLeod Bethune: Come see the reenactment of the legendary founder of Bethune-Cookman University by her granddaughter, Ersula Knox Odom. Odom, who has a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre, is also the author of At Sula's Feet, a collection of her memoirs about growing up with her grandmother. The performance will be held at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, 2650 N.W.
