palm-trees-at-night_web.jpgWEST PALM BEACH – The Northwest Neighborhood is inviting businesses, investors, realtors, developers, financial institutions and business organizations to discover the rich history, future development plans and numerous business opportunities available in the Northwest community.

The First Annual Discover Northwest  business event is set for Wednesday, May 8, 4 – 7 p.m. in the historic neighborhood at the intersection of Third Street and Rosemary Avenue in downtown West Palm Beach.

Admission is free and open to the public. Rosemary Avenue will be closed from Third to Fifth streets for the business block party providing food and beverages, a live jazz band and complimentary valet parking for all attendees. Business exhibits will be set up for gathering useful business information.

With the success and positive momentum created by the Heart & Soul Fest held in March, the Northwest Neighborhood, in conjunction with the city of West Palm Beach, the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, the Northwest Community Consortium, Inc. and business partners, is hosting the event to attract new businesses and investment.

The three-hour event will provide an overview of the Northwest Redevelopment Plan, opportunities for development, information for interested businesses and resource presentations by several community business partners, including the West Palm Beach Purchasing Department, Paragon Foundation of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach County Office of Small Business Assistance.

In addition, BB&T and Bank United will be available to assist attendees with their financial needs. An open house and tour of the Law Offices of Bryan Boysaw & Associates, P.A. will be featured as a business that invested in the Northwest Neighborhood.
