FORT LAUDERDALE — D. Stephenson Construction, Inc., has announced that Joseph M. Sanches will join the company as executive vice president, effective March 4, 2013. Sanches has a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Pratt Institute and an MBA from Baruch College.
An accomplished construction and facilities management professional, he brings more than 25 years of experience managing capital projects and improvement programs and has overseen the construction of over $2 billion in construction projects, many of which have earned local and national awards.
He is currently chief of Support Operations for the Palm Beach County School District where he has been responsible for the major operations departments, managing a staff of up to 3,000 employees.
Prior to joining the district, Sanches worked for a number of national and international program and construction management firms managing the construction of prisons, hospitals, schools, malls and offices buildings.
Sanches serves on the boards of directors of several organizations including the Kravis Center, the Pine Jog Environmental Education Center and the U.S. Green Building Council.
